Blues Cafe is beyond excited to be the Saturday night dance at Sweet Molasses Blues this year! Dancing starts at 9pm and doesn’t end until 4am the next morning! In addition to amazing dancing there will be competitions, performances, and a midnight buffet!
We are THRILLED to welcome Tin Pan Blues Band to Boston for the first time! If you haven’t danced to these guys yet, you are in for a very special evening.
Although we are offering at the door admission, Blues Cafe is included in the full weekend and dance passes through Sweet Molasses Blues. Register here.

A big thank you to those who came out last weekend for our first dance of the year! Between our proceeds and extra donations from our patrons we raised a total of $235.46 for the Haiti Relief and Development effort through the Red Cross! Check out the AWESOME Soul Man choreography below!
Welcome back! Celebrate the new year with us, with a super-fun, super-chill, and super-fly evening of soul and blues! DJs Julie Brown and Nicole Zuckerman will be bringing their soulful, sly music for your enjoyment on the dance floor. As always, it will take place in the beautiful Springstep building in Medford.
**Half of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Haitian relief through the American Red Cross**

On November 28th- the Saturday after Thanksgiving- Blues Cafe will be hosting Lindy Hop and Balboa night. As always, it will take place in the beautiful Springstep building in Medford. DJs will be spinning classic jazz tunes from the Swing Era. Joining us will be DJ Jay Provost, well known from Boston Swing Central!

We have two dance performances this month: the Boston Balboa Underground and The Downcity Strutters from Providence!

This is your chance to perform at Blues Cafe! During the month of October, It’s All Swing will be running a soul performance series, which will culminate in a performance at the October Blues Cafe. We will be learning and performing a dance from Swing & Soul, originally choreographed by Peter Strom. For information on the class series, please see the It’s All Swing website. Anyone can participate!

Gordon Webster comes to Blues Cafe on September 26th with his quintet, including Breanna- and featuring the trombone player from the Cangelosi Cards, Matt Mussleman! This will be a night of gorgeous, swingy jazz.
This month’s dance is happening in conjunction with the T-Step workshop with Steven and Virginie! You can bet the workshop attendees will be bringing their A game – bring yours too.
