Bust out your smashing vintage wear and join Blues Cafe for a cool evening of hot jazz in an air conditioned venue!

We’ll be enjoying the excellent DJ skills of Jay Provost, as well as mini DJ sets from all 3 Blues Cafe organizers – Julie Brown, John Brooks, and Megan Damon!

Dan Pederson and Nina Current will be teaching the beginner-friendly lesson, and we will have delicious homemade cookies as always :)

We’ll also have a special performance by Matt Gerdon from Connecticut, so come out and show him some Boston love.

Lesson: 8-9pm
Dance: 9pm-12:30am

July 3rd – Soul & Blues

Join us on July 3rd for some pre-4th-of-July soul and blues!

DJs Joy Arico (from Rochester) and our own Nicole Zuckerman will be spinning some sweet, soul- and blues-ful tunes for you to dance to.

The lesson will also be taught by Joy Arico, and it will be beginner-friendly but will also incorporate intermediate material. Check out Joy dancing here: ECBF Jack&Jill Final

Blues Cafe at Beantown’s Saturday late-night!

Blues Cafe will be hosting the Saturday late night dance at Beantown this coming weekend! Come for some late night blues with DJs John Brooks, Julie Brown, and Micki Balder (and delicious cookies, of course)! Admission to the late-night is included in the weekend or evening pass.

The BOILERMAKER JAZZ BAND and SOLOMON DOUGLAS are coming to BLUES CAFE this weekend for the Boston Independence Exchange!

*The Big Apple*
This fast-paced and fun dance (choreographed by the late, great Frankie Manning) was first seen in the 1939 movie “Keep Punching.” Come see students and teachers from It’s All Swing perform this exciting vignette!

*Wicked Burlesque*
Come see the Ladies of the Wicked Nines strut their stuff on Saturday night at BIX in a unique burlesque performance. You’ve never seen them do anything like this before, so don’t miss it!
